It goes on and on and on.
South Africa really shouldn’t have any trouble winning this Test. They have six and a half sessions to get the runs, so as long as they don’t do anything stupid they will be OK.

It goes on and on and on.
Aiden Markram is rapidly closing in on the highest individual score of the match.
He has 61. Only Beau Webster (72) and Steve Smith (66) are ahead of him.

If you're injured, you end up moving less and stay stuck in your stance. Sometimes being so stationary works in your favour.
Whilst Temba Bevuma's running has been restricted, his play hasn't been altered at all.
Two more off the target with a couple to Temba Bavuma off Pat Cummins. Slow and steady may win the race for South Africa.
We've just had confirmation that Steve Smith has suffered a compound dislocation of his right little finger.
The Australian dropped Temba Bavuma at slip earlier and went straight off the field.
He's currently in hospital being assessed and will be given further treatment there.

Temba Bevuma seems to be in a groove, perhaps a slightly painful one.

At the moment, all is pretty tranquil as far as South Africa are concerned. Pat Cummins needs to try something new, maybe Beau Webster or Travis Head.

The Test shows why the WTC is great for the game! The practicals of the tournament needs changing but the theory means you get a final like this. Should change to a four-year cycle where everyone plays everyone home and away in three Test series. The big three get marquee series where they play five Tests so you still get Ashes and BGT but three of those Tests are picked to be for the WTC randomly.

Target 282
Nathan Lyon is bowling around the wicket but still no breakthrough for Australia. Another four runs chipped off the target.
The 50 partnership is up for South Africa.
Aiden Markram and Temba Bavuma, who was dropped very early in his innings, have put on 50 runs off 86 balls so far.
162 runs needed.

This pitch has just gotten better. For batting at least.

It's pretty balanced at the moment but all it takes is a few wickets for the game to swing one way.
Target 282
Answer: Not yet.
Temba Bavuma, who began the over with a two, edges the ball wide of slip fielder Beau Webster for four. It didn't carry but every Australia player still looks pained.
Spinner Nathan Lyon returns to the attack. Can he break this partnership?

@ Joe - they already are favourites if you read what the odds compliers have to say. They dont get loads wrong.

We've got a game on our hands.
Need 169 runs
There's a muted appeal for lbw against Aiden Markram from Josh Hazlewood. The umpire slowly shakes his head. Hazlewood looks forlorn and bowls the final ball of the over.

Hate-watching is so much fun. I (nearly) want South Africa to win this as much as I would England just for the Aussie misery.
Cameron
Target 282
Another three singles for South Africa, steadily chipping away at their target.
What do you do if you're Pat Cummins? Is it worth taking a punt on an over or two from Beau Webster or Travis Head to mix things up a bit?
